The college HHMSPB NSS College was established in 1950. Degree courses in Mathematics started in the year 1964 with Statistics and Physics as subsidiary subjects. Total working hours is 61, including Mathematics and Statistics. There are four permanent faculties in the department. University has sanctioned 40 students per batch. The choice-Based Credit and Semester System (CBCSS) was introduced in 2010. The department aims at imparting the best of both academic and life values to students thereby facilitating them to face life with dignity, responsibility, and confidence. Seminars/workshops/Alumni interactions and conferences at the National and International levels, social support activities, personality, and soft skill development activities, etc. are conducted regularly by the department to improve both the IQ and EQ of our students. Endowments for students securing the highest marks in Mathematics and Statistics are instituted by the department and faculty members as an encouragement to students in achieving academic excellence.
