The Department of Chemistry has been engaged in opening up the fascinating world of Chemistry to students since 1982. Established in the year 1952, the department was upgraded to UG level in 1982. We offer First Degree Programme with Physics and Mathematics as complementary subjects. We also teach Chemistry as a complementary subject to the Botany and Zoology core students. This department has always been instrumental in molding the destiny of many academicians, administrators, and scientists. We always try to give our students the best, in reverberation with modern developments and trends in science. We provide our students with excellent, comprehensive education of the principles of chemistry, including rich laboratory experience within the curriculum. The department caters to the overall development of our own students and also extends our services to teachers and students of neighboring higher secondary schools as well.
