The HHMSPB NSS College for Women, Neeramankara affiliated with the University of Kerala started functioning in Perunthanni in 1950 as a second-grade college and was upgraded in the academic year 1957-58.BA Course in Malayalam commenced in 80-81 and the PG Course in Malayalam was introduced during the academic year 2001-02. Now the Department offers a BA degree in Malayalam (Choice based on Credit and Semester system) and MA degree in Malayalam (Semester system) As a mission, this department gives more importance to creating curricular, co-curricular, and cultural talents for the student community. As a result, many of them will become prominent in the field of our mother- tongue, literature, and culture. In Our students consistently secure commendable achievements in University examinations, many of which qualify for Net and JRF. To nurture research aptitude in students, the Department has been conducting seminars and webinars (National &International) on Malayalam Language and Literature and other interdisciplinary subjects.
